Photo Restoration FAQ

My photo is torn or broken into pieces, can you help me?

Often yes, but if your photo is so badly damaged that pieces are completely missing, or if there is excessive damage to a face, then there isn’t much we can do. Again, we’re happy to take a look at your photo and give you a quote.

Will my restored photos still look “old”?

Yes, we won’t remove the character or all of the color cast of the photo.

How large of a photo can you restore?

Most heirloom photos are smaller – usually 8″x10″ or less, but we can restore most any size photo, even if it has to be scanned in pieces and put back together digitally.

Do my photos have to be removed from the frame to be scanned?

Almost always, yes.

How long does restoration take?

Most projects are completed in 3-4 weeks.

Can I order reprints of my restored image in different sizes?

Reprints can be ordered in different sizes but there is an additional charge. Give us a call to find out more.

How do I get my photos to you?

You can scan the image yourself (we’ll give you all of the details how); or make an appointment and we can arrange to scan them for you.

How much does photo restoration cost?

Each restoration project is different, and is priced is based on the condition of your photo. Restoration projects begin at $125.

Is there an easy way for you to review my photos and give me advice before I go to the trouble of scanning them?

Yes. Complete the form below and let us know that you would like us to evaluate your project. We’ll get back to you with instructions.

Can all photos be restored?

No, some photos are so badly damaged that acceptable restoration is not possible. When in doubt, we’re happy to look at your project ahead of time and let you know what we can do with the photo.

Can I email you my photos?

No, many email programs will “down-size” your images. We will provide a form where you can submit your order and upload your full-resolution photos to our servers.
